FIRST CYCLE / SECOND CYCLE STUDIES
DIRECTION: interior design and virtual space
specialties:
- interior design and virtual space (first and second cycle studies)
- furniture and spatial forms (only first-cycle studies)
In this field, we prepare the future designer for both team and individual work related to the design of broadly understood interior architecture or furniture design.
During their studies with the specialization in interior design and virtual space, students learn to design residential and public interiors, exhibition spaces, architectural forms in open and closed spaces, and interactive virtual and hybrid spaces. The program of the field of study allows for an individual selection of the fields of study and dedicated studios.
On the other hand, in the furniture and spatial forms specialization, students learn to design furniture, functional and spatial forms as well as indoor and outdoor lighting, as well as packaging. They also make furniture prototypes.
Students have a chance to acquire competences corresponding to the needs of employment in architectural design studios, furniture manufacturing plants, interior design studios or working as an independent designer. They learn about the latest technologies and interfaces in the field of interior architecture and virtual space design or in the field of furniture design and spatial forms in theory and in practice, using the latest equipment of studios and workshops.
The Faculty of Interior Architecture enables students to develop their skills in many studios, which are run by design specialists, practitioners with many years of experience in the architectural industry. Interior design graduates from the Academy of Art in Szczecin are valued by employers. We are proud to observe our graduates and our graduates developing their passions after graduating from reputable design offices or running their own business both in Poland and abroad.
